Kenya Premier League side Bandari FC continued with their quest for a stronger side ahead of the 2018 season, after acquiring Nakumatt FC pair Joshua Oyoo and Boniface Akenga on one-year renewable deals for each.
The duo, who were inspirational for the Shoppers, will link up with their former teammate Nichola Mejja who joined the Dockers earlier.
Bandari had a disappointing 2017 campaign that saw them finish tenth, aside from relinquishing their GOtv Shield, and will be hoping that the new additions will help turn around their fortunes.
As a result of the poor run, the coast based side fired their head coach Paul Nkatah who was succeeded by his assistant Ken Odhiambo.
Other than the Nakumatt pair, the team also promoted a number of young players from their junior team in what they believe is aimed at creating sustainability on the side.
Nakumatt, on the other hand, continues to struggle to hold on to their best players amid a biting cash crunch that has also affected its retail businesses.
The team has since lost their talismanic striker Kepha Aswani who moved to Sofapaka as well as their shot-stopper Ezekiel Odera who was signed by GOtv shield holders AFC Leopards.
