Bandari Fc continued their resurgence in the Kenyan Premier League table after seeing of Ulinzi Stars 1-0 in a match played at the Mbaraki Stadium on Saturday.
The win marked the Dockers first victory over the Soldiers who have enjoyed a near dominance over them in their home turf, winning two and drawing three in their five last encounters.
Darius Msagha scored the all-important goal in the 46th minute after a goalless first half period that saw two goals from both teams ruled out for offsides.
Ulinzi began the match a better side and created several chances which were however thwarted by a solid Bandari defence.
However, in the 30th minute, Bandari's John Kago thought he had broken the deadlock only to see his goal ruled out for offside.Two minutes later, it was Ulinzi's turn to lament after their goal was also disallowed as the match proceeded for halftime.
On resumption, Msagha made no mistake after receiving a clever through pass from roving midfielder Shaban Kenga.
The Dockers held on to the solitary goal amid dangerous long balls from the Nakuru based side although the efforts failed to pay off as Bandari went on to win the match.
The win now moves Paul Nkatah charges to eighth with 43 points while Ulinzi holds on to seventh with 45 points.
