Kenya Premier League side Bandari FC ha recalled striker Anthony Kimani ahead of the 2018 season after a one-year absence.
The speedy forward was redeployed following the entry of Ugandan tactician Paul Nkatah who preferred working with younger players. However, his exit has offered the former Mathare United star a new ray of hope after new coach Ken Odhiambo expressed a desire to work with him.
"Anthony Kimani is back in the team and has been training with the rest of the team for the last few days and I can confirm that he will be with us in 2018.He is experienced and having him back is a boost for us," the club's organizing secretary Salim Sumra told local football website Futaa.com on Wednesday.
Sumra also revealed that the Dockers are in talks with Kakamega Homeboyz dangerman Wycliffe Ochomo with a view of bringing him on board for the new season.
"He (Ochomo) has been training with the team but we haven't signed him yet.The technical bench will have the final say, if they say they want him then we will sign him," he added.
The coast based side had a torrid 2017 campaign where they finished a distant tenth in the log with 43 points after 34 points and will be keen to better this performance in the new season.
Their first match will be against Sofapaka FC on February 4 at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos.
