Kenya Premier League side Bandari FC have completed a move for Rayon Sport FC reserve goalkeeper Abubakar Bashunga after the Rwandese national penned a three-year deal with the club on Monday.
The Dockers who had earlier on brought on board former Muhoroni Youth custodian Farouk Shikhalo are keen on enhancing competition between the sticks after their latest move in a bid to mitigate their last season's disappointing campaign that saw them soak in several goals.
Speaking after securing the dream move Bashunga expressed his joy with the move terming it a boost to his career.
"I am really happy to join such a big club. Hopefully, I will improve and take my career to a whole new level. I want to repay the club management for putting a lot of faith in me," he told Rwandese, Times Newspaper.
Last season the Coast based side were quite underwhelming and finished in a disappointing tenth position that saw the then hear coach Paul Nkatah sent packing and his deputy Ken Odhiambo elevated to the vacant position.
It remains to be seen how well the new tactician will oversee the team with the club facing Sofapaka FC in their first match of the 2018 KPL season on February 4 at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos.
