Bandari FC made a firm statement of their intent to finish strongly in the KPL league following a 6-2 drubbing of relegation-threatened Muhoroni Youth at the Muhoroni Complex on Wednesday.Former Gor Mahia striker Edwin Lavatsa was the man of the match after scoring four goals. It only took 13 minutes for the lanky striker to register his name on the score sheet after a beautiful exchange with Wilberforce Lugogo gifted him the perfect opportunity to fire home.Lavatsa was once more on the mark in the 43rd minute after converting a beautiful through pass from Darius Msagha which caught the Muhoroni defence unaware.Substitute Antony Wambani made it 3-0 eight minutes into the second half.Lavatsa got his hat-trick after firing a rasping shot past an oncoming Muhoroni goalie Salim Sowedi. The Sugar Millers pulled one back through Antony Otuoma in the 67th minute but the goal only reawakened the already fired up Dockers who added a fifth goal through Lavatsa after a nice pass from Shaban Kenga in the 78th minute.A hard tackle on Ambrose Ayoyi saw the referee point to the penalty spot and Ayoyi got a second goal for the hosts. However, Bandari was not done with its exploits, scoring the sixth goal through substitute Baron Oketch who tapped home in the 90th minute to set the record for the most goals scored in a KPL match this season. The loss completely puts to doubt any chances of Muhoroni escaping the relegation zone.Bandari FC moved to position nine with 39 points.
