The Kenya Premier League (KPL) which has been on a three-week recess will resume over the weekend with many matches scheduled for Saturday and Sunday.
Bandari FC will play hosts to struggling Western Stima, a match that will be staged at Mbaraki Sports Club on Sunday with the dockers hoping to start the second leg on a high note. The last time the two sides played against each other, Bandari who were the hosts, won by a solitary goal. However, Western Stima has been the most dominant side of the two for the past 8 years. In summary, Bandari and Western Stima have played 12 times with the power men emerging winners in four occasions while Bandari have won three times with five matches ending in a draw.Henry Omino-coached Western Stima have struggled for form throughout the campaign where they have managed only two wins in 13 outings and are in a relegation fight as they second from bottom. On the other hand, Bandari have not been convincing either having failed to win any of their last three matches before the league took a break. However, playing on home soil, at least on paper, they are the pre-match favourites.
