After taking a one-week break to pave way for the GOTV Shield Cup, the Kenya Premier League (KPL) resumes over the weekend with several mouth-watering clashes lined up for play.
Bandari FC who returned to winning ways after overcoming stubborn Uweza FC in the GOTV match on Sunday will play hosts to KPL defending champions Tusker FC at Mbaraki Sports Club. The game will also be the first between Bandari coach Paul Nkata and his former side Tusker FC which he led to KPL glory in his only season at Ruaraka.Tusker FC who pipped former champions for the top spot in the league standings will be hoping to continue with their impressive form in their bid to defend their title. The Dockers on the other hand have been struggling for form and consistency over the past few weeks, failing to win any of their last four league matches. History favours the Brewers as they have exerted their superiority on their rivals during their past meetings. In summary, recently, the two sides have played 13 times with Tusker FC winning six times while Bandari have picked up four wins with three matches drawn.During the last meeting in October 2016 at Mbaraki Sports Club, Tusker won 1-0.
