Three weeks after a music video promoting gay rights was banned by the Kenya Film Classification Board's (KFCB) the video is still on YouTube.
KFCB had asked Google Kenya to take the video down which has not happened and the video now has more than 140,000 views.
The song "Same Love"(remix) by Kenyan artist, Art Attack, has sexual scenes of people of same gender, which led it to be banned.
"The song consists of lyrics that strongly advocate for gay rights in Kenya, complete with graphic sexual scenes between people of the same gender, as well as depiction of nudity and pornography," the board's chief executive, Ezekiel Mutua, told a news conference.
The music video has led to a hashtag #KenyanGayVideo which has been trending on Twitter, some people saying homosexuals should be beaten to death while others calling for tolerance.
But George Barasa, a gay rights activist who features in the video, argues that the video should not be banned as it promotes love.
"We are not advocating for war; we are just advocating for love and acceptance and allowing people to live their lives."
