Baringo is a bee hive of activities as it awaits hosting top politicians for the historic Kimalel goat auction slated for December 20 and 21.
President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto have already been invited to the function.
Already the county has hired casual labourers to give the venue of the auction a face lift.
"Plans are 80 per cent complete. We have contracted locals and each will pocket Sh300 for five days' work until Tuesday," Deputy Governor Jacob Chepwony said on Saturday.
"They also do some landscaping around the site, including planting Aloe Vera along the fences for beautification” he added.
The function was more popular during retired Presidwnt Moi's erra where the likes of Ezekiel Bargetuny were like legends whenever the goat aunction was mentioned.
