Speaking on Friday evening at Nyambunwa village of Bassi Chache Ward in Bobasi constituency during the burial of three family members who died in a road accident Maangi defended the Kisii County Government's development agenda and assured area residents that he will communicate the issue concerning the road to Ongwae for immediate action.

"I can assure you that the road in question will soon be completed and I have taken note of that. I will share your concerns with the Governor and ensure that issue is addressed," stated Maangi.

Maangi was responding to Kisii Senator Chris Obure's concern over the delayed implementation of the road project in question yet it was one of the County Government's flagship projects in the Ward.
