The race for Uasin Gishu governorship, Jubilee Party ticket seems to be favouring incumbent governor Jackson Mandago.

He seems to be heading for a resounding victory, against his closest challenger, wealthy Zedekiah Bundotich Kiprop, alias Buzeki.

Vote numbers from two constituencies of the total six, showed Mandago was leading with 44,401 votes against Buzeki’s 30,061, by Wednesday 2pm.They include: Kesses, Turbo, Soy, Moiben, Kapseret and Ainabkoi constituencies.

However, businessman Buzeki dismissed the provisional results, saying a number of his supporters had been allowed to cast their votes, in the Tuesday April 25, exercise.
