A discussion about Mombasa-based artists will be incomplete without mentioning Susumila and Ali B.
The battle of supremacy between these two is not likely to end any time soon.
Hate them or love them, both Susumila and Ali B are going places as far as music is concerned.
When it comes to wealth Susumila is richer than Ali B with each of them having an estimated net worth of Sh8.8 million and Sh8 million respectively.
The success of the two artists has not been an easy walk.
Sometime back, Susumila was just like any other artist trying to create a name in the entertainment industry alongside Escobar, who later on disappeared from the musical radar leaving Susumila to work as a solo artist.
Ali B has also not had an easy day as he has spent nights at the studio to rise to stardom.
Ali B is all round musician compared to Susumila.
He is not only a talented singer but also a dancer, lyrist and actor.
This does not mean that Susumila cannot dance or compose good songs but Ali B does better.
