Kiambu Town MP Jude Njomo has challenged youth in the constituency to be active and seek involvement in development.
Njomo said that there are many development activities taking place in the constituency that youth can engage in.
The MP said that the constituency will achieve much development if young people are involved.
“Our challenge to the youth is for them to work with their leaders and promote development,” said Njomo.
Speaking to youth at Ndumberi Town Centre on Wednesday, the Kiambu Town MP encouraged youth to take advantage of the Uwezo Fund to better their lives.
The MP stated that through the fund, young people, women and marginalised groups can start businesses of their choice.
“Young people, women and also persons living with disabilities should not shy away from applying this money,” he said.
The MP also encouraged the marginalizsd groups to apply for the 30 per cent government tenders reserved for them both at the county and national government level.
Njomo urged the Kiambu government to educate the youth on existing government tenders.
“The government must advertise for this tenders so that our youths, women and disabled persons can apply for them,” he added.
