Speaking during a funds drive for 13 SDA churches at Nyatieko church, MP aspirant Mr Justus Mochoge challenged residents to be aware of the 'Omogusii unity' since they initiated it many years ago but it failed.

Mr Mochoge said that they tried to initiate unity in 2013 with Mzee Nyachae but it failed because some of the leaders who are initiating the same were against it.

“What the current politicians are doing we tried to do it in 2013 but the same people ignored our initiative, so my advice to residents is to keep watching,” said Mochoge.

Mochoge said that during 2013 Senator Chris Obure who is the current chairman to ‘Omogusii unity’ was against the unity hence it will be hard for them to unite the community.

“It will be hard for the community to be united by the leaders who was against the initiative in 2013, why did they go against it when we tried to bring the community together and now they are telling us to unite,” said Mochoge.

“What they are doing we started it a long time ago but it failed since it had many opposers. Now it is ironical for politicians to initiate what they were against some years back,” said Mochoge.
