Water and Irrigation Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa has warned all Nairobi gubernatorial aspirants fighting for the 2017 Jubilee party candidature to be braced for a tough battle in the nominations.
The former Saboti legislator said that he will not be deterred by those who are against his bid for the county's top seat.
"They have a headstart now and should utilise every opportunity they have to popularise themselves. Once I resign and officially launch my campaigns for the post, they should brace for a fierce political battle," he added.
Speaking on Saturday after meeting with religious leaders, Wamalwa said that at the moment there should be no need to worry as only voters will determine who will fly Jubilee Party flag.
"All the Jubilee candidates should be allies and the common opponent is the incumbent Dr Kidero. It does not add value when candidates from the same party spread propaganda about their teammate, or try to disrupt meetings," Wamalwa was quoted by the Standard.
