Youths in Uasin Gishu county have been challenged to to pick up the tasks of engaging in entrepreneurship instead of waiting for white color jobs which are scarce.Uasin Gishu deputy governor Daniel Chemno said this is the remedy for joblessness among youths."There's a big economical advantage when one decides to venture into entrepreneurship. There are lots of successful people who came from nothing but are now pronounced," said Chemno in Eldoret on Friday."The county government is giving allot of money to youths through cooperatives, I therefore urge youths to join cooperatives  for them to benefit from the funds to start their own businesses," he added.The deputy governor further called upon the youths not to shy away from joining Sacco's in fear of loosing money."This is not true since as a government we have laid down procedures that man cooperatives therefore no cause of alarm and anyone who will be found looting cooperative funds will face the full force of law," he warned.Chemno spoke during the launch of Access to Government Procurement (AGPO) Local Purchase Order (LPO) fund that seeks to offer financial help to youths in the county who will get government tenders.
