The National Super Alliance has retreated to name a flag bearer but several people have started forecasting the outcome, something that is creating tension among supporters allied to various principals.
This has forced Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka to come out and calm his followers. His call for patience comes at a time when the Wiper Democratic movement is issuing ultimatums and threatening to go solo if the former vice president is not chosen to face Jubilee’s Uhuru Kenyattta.
“Be patient, we will name the flag bearer soon and the appropriate time,” said Kalonzo.
The coastal retreat has been mocked by Jubilee who believe that the opposition lacks a proper formula to name its candidate. One vocal critic of the opposition presidential nomination process is DP William Ruto. He always refers to opposition as a leaderless coalition.
However, NASA principals Moses Wetangula and Kalonzo Musyoka have urged their fans to be patient and ignore Jubilee rhetoric.
“They are saying we have retreated to gamble about who should be the flag bearer. This is not the case because soon we will unveil a flag bearer,” Wetangula said.
The opposition is yet to name its presidential candidate though it is rumored that Raila Odinga is the preferred candidate deputized by Kalonzo Musyoka.
