Bomachoge Chache Member of Parliament Simon Ogari has asked the Kisii County government to urgently seek for land to set up a market in Ogembo.
The legislature at the same time asked residents to be patient as the county government seeks to address the matter.
The area has been without a market forcing traders to conduct their businesses from the road side.
They say the lack of market had caused them inconveniences besides it had led to loss of lives resulting from road accidents especially while crossing the road.
Speaking on Wednesday at Ogembo, Ogari challenged the county government to urgently address the matter.
“We have heard your complaints that you need to have a market place here in Ogembo. Let me assure you that Kisii County government is looking for land to set up a market,” said the legislature.
