Gatundu South Member of Parliament Mose Kuria has further said the Jubilee government was ready to welcome the ICC and offer them support in probing the opposition leaders.

Through a post on his official Facebook page on Sunday, Kuria said NASA had misunderstood a recent statement issued by 11 diplomats asking the coalition's leader Raila Odinga to recognize Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto as the legitimate leaders in the country.

"I don't think Raila and his NASA sisters understood the statement from foreign envoys. It was a diplospeak version of asking them to be ready for the ICC," wrote Kuria on his Facebook page.

"It was a thinly veiled way of telling them they will be treated as war criminals," he added.

The MP who is known for controversial statements further said, "This time we will welcome the ICC with a 21 gun salute and allocate them a whole floor at KICC for processing documents."
