Gem MP Jakoyo Midiwo has promised Jubilee to be ready for questions surrounding the laptop project saying what the administration has delivered was not what they promised.
Speaking during an interview with Citizen TV on Thursday last week, Midiwo warned the Jubilee government to be ready for a tough campaign period in the run to the August 8 polls.
"The campaign period is fast approaching and we will be asking Jubilee about the laptop project they promised Kenyans. The President is now calling them digital gadgets, that is very interesting. There is no way laptops can now be digital gadgets. Digital gadgets can even be toys," he added.
Midiwo also asked Kenyans to stay peaceful during the campaign period and asked for action to be taken against any leader found fueling violence during the electioneering season.
"This thing about election violence must be made a common crime so that there is nothing to do with elections when you hurt other people," he added.
"People during electioneering period take advantage to break the law, this can be stopped. We as legislators have a duty in the next few months to the elections to say that those who break the law be dealt with and even jailed," he added.
