The National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga has been warned against his plans to be sworn in as the people's president.
NASA has announced that Raila will be sworn on January 30.
But speaking to the press in Eldoret, Ainabkoi Member of Parliament William Chepkut termed the plans as unconstitutional.
The Jubilee allied MP further warned Raila and organizers of the swearing in that they will face treason charges should they go on with their plans.
"If he (Raila) goes on with the plans then he needs to be prepared to face treason charges since such an act is illegal," said the first time MP.
"An election was conducted on October 26 and President Uhuru Kenyatta was declared the winner. The Supreme court even upheld his win following a petition by civil society groups. In fact NASA boycotted that election and they have no basis of swearing in their candidate," he added.
Despite warning of a possible treason charges, NASA leadership have maintained that they will swear in Raila Odinga and his running mate Kalonzo Musyoka.
