Kisii University students have been urged to be more vigilant following the Garissa University college attacks.
Speaking during Sunday mass service held in the main campus, Assistant Dean of students Br. Francis Kerogo called on students to be watchdogs in the university to identify strangers and suspicious people.
“It is sad how young brilliant students lost their lives in the hands of terrorists. Be more vigilant with your neighbours and strangers,” he said.
He further encouraged students to have good communication with the university administration so that in the event such an incident occurs, immediate intervention will be effected.
“We are not an exception but students need to have good communication with the administration so that in the event of such occurrence the incidence will be contained with immediacy,” he added.
Kerogo said students should provide information in case they suspect or have security concerns.
The mass service was the last one since students are breaking for April holidays until early may when they will resume with the session.
