Nyamira Kenya power and lighting company branch manager Dancan Machuka has warned the company's customers against fraudsters.
Machuka, who spoke to this writer on Thursday said that there are a lot of people out there pretending to be power officers, and con locals promising to fix their issues.
"Reports have reached my office that some few individuals are out there conning innocent Kenyans money in the name of being staffs of Kenya power, so people must be wary," said Machuka.
Machuka further urged Nyamira residents to inquire whether such people are staff of Kenya power or contractors working for the company.
"Our staffs always walk with official working tags and even contracted staff have their own tags, so people must ensure that such people are affiliated with us before engaging them in any kind of activities," added Nyakweba.
