Taveta MP Naomi Shaban has asked Kenyans not to be swayed by the National Super Alliance (NASA’s) empty promises.Shaban said NASA cannot offer what its leaders are promising Kenyans, adding that the country’s problems can only be tackled by the Jubilee government.Addressing supporters at Taveta Town on Saturday, Shaban claimed that NASA leaders have only one agenda - to fleece the country’s resources once they get to power.“I urge Kenyans to be wary of NASA because the alliance is not sincere with the pledges their leaders are making ahead of the August polls,” said Shaban as quoted by the Standard. The MP said the country needs development conscious leaders and not propagandists.Shaban at the same time hit out at NASA for criticizing Jubilee's development agenda, saying Uhuru’s administration deserves accolades for initiating several development projects. She said President Uhuru Kenyatta has done what NASA leaders failed to do when they served in government.“These people (NASA leaders) served in government for many years but they did nothing to improve the living standards of Kenyans,” she said.Meanwhile, the Taita Taveta MP has urged politicians to preach unity in their campaigns. Shaban asked political aspirants to shun activities that could trigger violence as the country prepares for the August 8 general election.
