Sameta sub-county deputy county commissioner, Stella Lang'at has challenged BOMs in his sub-county to thoroughly vet the applicants seeking employment as teachers in their schools before accepting them for interviews and employment to protect their schools from infiltration by terror suspects.

Speaking at Sameta High School, Lang'at asked all schools' boards to assure their learners and teachers of their security and safety while hiring teachers through BOM to ensure only certified teachers who are registered with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC)and those cleared by the Criminal Investigations Department are hired.

"I am challenging all school boards to exercise caution while hiring BoM teachers and ensure they hire people of integrity to avoid employing terror suspects posing as teachers," warned Lang'at.

She reminded school administrations from the region that terror suspects were targeting schools and other learning institutions where they have devised techniques of posing as teachers or students for them to access those institutions easily.
