Vocal ODM party blogger has demanded that the State enhances security for Justice George Odunga.
This is after Chief Justice David Maraga on Wednesday dismissed a demand by Jubilee party that the judge is removed from all August 8 election cases.
"Chief Justice David Maraga dismisses Tuju/Jubilee threats against Justice George Odunga. Now enhance his security," tweeted Disembe.
The blogger noted that Jubilee 'only talks about respect for independent institutions when those institutions serve their parochial interests'.
His tweet seems to have been informed by the recent murder of Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) ICT boss Chris Musando who was killed in cold blood last Friday by unknown assailants.
Maraga, while dismissing Jubilee's concerns said the Judicial Service Commission and the Judiciary will not be cowed by intimidation.
"We will, at no time, direct any judicial officer on how to decide any case before them or [tell them] to recuse themselves. The CJ cannot direct a judge or disqualify himself. The rules of recusal are clear," he said during a press briefing on Wednesday.
The CJ said he will not ask judges to resign because of what politicians utter adding that all politicians should desist from attacking judges.
"We are alerted by the audacity of the party as it seeks to determine who hears the cases it files in court. The emerging culture of public lynching of judges must stop," he said.
