A swarm of bees attacked a suspected car thief who only found relief after surrendering himself to the police and also going through a ritual by a witchdoctor.
The suspect Mr Francis Sikadigu had allegedly drugged a car owner Mr John Wafula and took off to an unknown destination only to be attacked by a swarm of bees.
“We were negotiating in a bar and when I went to relieve myself he spiked my drink. I regained consciousness at the Bungoma County referral hospital," said Wafula. He abandoned the car at the gate to the Bungoma County Assembly. Bungoma OCPD David Kirui termed the incident as pure witchcraft.
“This is pure witchcraft, we are trying to establish the truth” said Kirui light-heartedly.Wafula said beside reporting the matter with the police, he also consulted the services of a witchdoctor.Police officers and residents escorted the suspect to a witchdoctor, ‘Dr’ Siraba Musali alias Dr Nyuki, in nearby Marell Estate, where the bees flew away after he was given a concoction.
