A Belgian tourist was on Monday trampled to death by an elephant at the Maasai Mara game reserve.

The incident comes after another foreign tourist lost his life in the reserve under similar circumstances in less than a month.

According a police officer who sought anonymity, the tourist was badly injured after the attack by the rogue jumbo.

“He was badly injured by the rogue elephant and succumbed to injuries at the Talek Health Centre,” said the officer.
