The meeting,  Momanyi adds, is a culmination of name calling targeting NASA leaders who have been trying to engage Jubilee leadership.

"Raila is a development conscious leader.  He opened doors for transformation of this country," he said.

Momanyi,  who serves as Borabu MP, was among Nyamira leaders who visited Deputy President William Ruto on Thursday.

Despite criticism from a section of local leadership,  Momanyi maintains that reconciliation is key to development.

"We can't be condemned just for visiting the DP.  Such meetings are for well being of our people."

Before Raila's truce with Uhuru, Momanyi was widely viewed as a Jubilee friendly MP despite his roots in Wiper.

In fact,  so compelling was his relationship with Jubilee,  that he managed to secure a PSC slot without Raila's blessings.
