After many weeks of speculation regarding his future at KTN, Joe Ageyo has brought the debate to an end after announcing his decision to leave the Mombasa Road media house.
The veteran Journalist who worked as KTN's Managing Editor joined Standard in 2000 as a general reporter. He, however, had another stint at NTV before making a return in 2012 to take up his recent position.
Even as he leaves, his former colleagues continue to recount the good times they had with their boss. And Betty Kyallo of Friday Briefing has expressed her emotional message to the departing colleague.
" You have been a great leader to all of us. You believed in us, challenged us to be better and consequently nurtured immense talent in our newsroom. We will always remember you and your commitment to Great Journalism. God bless," posted Kyallo on her Twitter handle.
The 45-year Ageyo who is credited for his role in the launch of KTN News, a 24-hour news channel is rumored to be headed to another local media house in a new role.
