The TV personality who has over the years grown her media career in the television news industry, however, has not specified when she will join active politics and perhaps run for an elective post.

"Joining politics has crossed my mind, but I am focused on my brand now," she said in tweet on Saturday.

Betty has built her brand in the media industry and has been fated several times.

In 2017, she was voted as the most popular media personality in Kenya beating former CNN news reporter Jeff Koinange.

She is from Ukambani and Kenyans are waiting to see whether she will plunge into politics riding on former vice president Kalonzo Musyoka's Wiper party or embattled Machakos Governor Dr Alfred Mutua's Mandeleo Chap Chap party.

The last time she came close to politics was ten months ago when rumors emerged that she was very close to Mombasa Governor Hassan Joho who after being re-elected governor had considered appointing her to occupy one of the most powerful positions in his government.

The TV star, besides her TV work, runs businesses in Nairobi and the most prominent one is a high profile salon located in Kilimani.
