Clients have a reason to smile as their favorite form of recreation, sports betting, just got cheaper thanks to one of Kenya’s leading sports betting firm Betway and Airtel Kenya launching a new and exciting integrated betting platform dubbed ‘BetwaySare’.
The new platform is set to give gamblers who have registered with Airtel Money an opportunity to place bets and withdraw or transfer their wins while on the Betway platform at no extra charges. Interaction on the Betway site using data will be zero-rated for all Airtel Money customers.
“BetwaySare, will greatly reduce data usage and mobile money transaction costs for avid fans allowing them to place bets on the multiple markets housed on the Betway platform thus winning more for less,” said Betway country manager Wanja Gikonyo, adding that the experience is a win-win for all our users.
The two firms believe that zero-rated data is what has been missing in taking gaming in Kenya to the next level and with this partnership, they are offering a solution to the 78 percent of Kenyans especially the youth who place bets using their mobile phones.
“BetwaySare is definitely going to be a game changer in the market as it will offer our consumers more benefits for less. We are committed to impacting the lives of the communities that we operate in by offering more choices at no extra charges in all our products and services.
As such this partnership underscores this commitment and our vision of becoming Kenya’s most preferred mobile service provider,” Airtel Managing Director Prasanta Das Sarma expressed. Founded in 2006, Betway was introduced in the Kenyan market in 2015 and has a comprehensive sportsbook offering with a wide selection of both pre-game and in-play betting markets across a broad range of sports. They are the official sponsors of Kenya Premier League side Mathare United.
