Elgeyo Marakwet senator Kipchumba Murkomen has alerted Kenyans against conmen and women who have opened accounts on Facebook.
He said the swindlers have created the accounts under his name and are offering fabricated jobs to Kenyans.
“Kenyans Beware! There are conmen/women who have opened Facebook accounts in my name and are offering fictitious jobs to unsuspecting members of public. Please be ware. And for the record, you shouldn’t actually be conned to pay money to get a job,” Murkomen warned on his official Facebook account.
“Surely, by the time you are able to apply a job online, you should be sharp enough to understand that a genuine job offer doesn’t require the applicant to pay a bribe,” he added.
