Kiambu County Governor has cautioned the members of public against a section of MCAs that he claims are funding a group of people that have gone to court to bar the county assembly from applying the recently passed financial bill 2014.
Kabogo said that the county conducted public participation forums in all the wards and the bill was modified to what the public wanted.
“You should be on look out as these people have no good motive towards our county. We gave you a chance to give your views and whatever you said we implemented,” the Governor said.
The bill caused a lot of controversy in most of the public participation meetings held in the wards as residents grieved over what they termed as being over exploited by the county government even after paying cess, taxes and levies to the Kiambu government.
Kabogo said that last year the same people did the same thing and the bill was rejected and they have shown their dishonesty to the people they represent as they did not want the public to get development.
He added that he will not relent from working for the citizens who he has a mandate to serve in the county no matter what issues are raised by the MCAs.
The county boss said that he will work with the few willing and positive minded people to improve Kiambu as the county is behind other counties and development needed to be fast tracked.
He was speaking in Thika on Thursday where he graced the graduation ceremony of the fire fighters who have been out for training in Poland.
