There is a saying in Luo that, "Piny ru gi mage" meaning each day dawns with new happenings.
So after attending a church service at Integrity worship centre on Sunday July 24, my wife and I joined other faithful's in an after-sermon meeting.
While we were winding up, one of the members called Linet or "mama Eva" shocked us with a prayer request. She wanted us to pray for her workmate who was recuperating at Nairobi women hospital after a rape ordeal.
What shocked us is how she narrated to us what happened last Wednesday,nJuly 20.
Linet and her colleague work at Export processing zones, EPZ in Athi River.
On the fateful day, she narrates, her colleague, a young girl in her early twenties, was accosted by 6 motorbike bodaboda men late in the evening while she was just leaving work.
The six men descended on her and gang raped her before damping her near her house in Kitengela.
Her neighbours spotted her lying on the ground, bleeding profusely. They rushed her to Nairoibi women hospital. Be on the watch.
