Kiambu MP Jude Njomo has warned students from street gambling on their way to school to shun away from the heinous act.

This comes after cases of theft in the street gambling has been alarming especially during school openings where students are lured into a never-win gambling promising to double their school fees and pocket money.

The MP expressed his concerns with such a dreadful act firing warning to those gamblers luring school children that their days are numbered.

The Kiambu legislator has called on parents to escort their children to school if necessary so as not to be tempted into the never-win game terming the perpetrators as criminals and most wanted.

Njomo who was speaking on Sunday at Kiambu town further cautioned parents from giving ambiguous pock money to their children and always give a bankers cheque school fees rather than cash.

He said that with this initiative it will greatly reduce cases of theft and temptation to young students who will tend to use the money into criminal activities that Kiambu is fighting against.

The TNA legislator said that in partnership with area police in Kiambu town, they will be vigilant on those gamblers who lure children just to steal their money saying they will face the rule of law.

He further urged residents to be on the look out to fish out the perpetrators to save the future generation which is being tampered by few cash from criminals.

He further warned students from loitering aimlessly in the Kiambu town but instead board their vehicles to school to minimize cases of theft and clubbing in the streets.
