A middle-aged man stunned a Kangundo court Friday 15, when he told the presiding magistrate that the 200 grammes of bhang he was charged with being in possession of was 'for his personal consumption.'
The suspect, Mathew Ndunda who appeared before Kangundo resident magistrate Nicki Sinkian admitted having been caught with bhang at Kanzalu village in Kangundo on July 14.
"It's true but the bhang was for my personal use," the suspect, who oozed with confidence told the magistrate, much to the dismay of people in the courtroom.
However, the suspect could not be immediately convicted as the fact file was not complete. Ndunda was ordered to appear before the same court on August 8, when the ruling will be delivered.
