Confirming the incident area chief Christopher Omanga said that they were able to arrest the man after they were given a tip off from some of the villagers.

“We were given a good tip off by some of his neighbors and we arrived there on time with some administration police officer and we found the young man in a den rolling the bhang,” he added.

The chief said it was not easy to extract information from the young man who kept his eyes protruding to the consternation of the residents.

He said the man has been arrested as they launch an investigation on those who they work with in supplying and selling the bhang.

He called upon Wananchi to join the government in the war against the proliferation of illicit brews and drugs such as bhang in the area.

“If it were not the locals we would have not easily known that the man sells bhang," said Omanga.

"We call upon them to continue working hand in hand with us to ensure drug abuse is completely dealt with,” he added.

Today is the second day the chief in assistance of the local administration officers are carrying out intensified crack down on illegal brew after they nabbed over 3000 liters of the same on Monday.
