Vimal said that he will lead by example and he is sure with consultations the other manufacturers and producers of products will lower their prices so as to make it easier for the consumers to purchase the products.

He added that the Consumers Federation of Kenya (COFEK) is justified in their recent calls to adjust the prices of products as the manufacturers’ burden of petrol and electricity has been eased on them too.

The Asian, who has led fellow investors in making Thika a great business town, said that the products have in the recent days been accumulating in their warehouses and stores considering their high prices and the public are decrying lack of money.

He stated that the Kenyan shilling has been declining in value and there is need for the investors to join hands with the producers and manufacturers in the country and help in improving the Kenyan economy considering they are the largest beneficiaries.

“The Kenyan shilling has gone done in terms of value and we are the same people affected most so we should join and know how to get over this challenge of economy,” Vimal expressed.

Vimal was speaking to the press when he met with investors in Cravers Hotel Thika town on Thursday to set strategies on the way forward in business.
