The opposition coalition, National Super Alliance (NASA) has maintained that its resistance wing,National Resistance Movement (NRM) is still alive and kicking, days after it was banned by the state.
The block has therefore advised its supporters to continue with the boycott on some blacklisted firms' goods and services being accused of being Jubilee Government-friendly.
Speaking during a rally in Baba Dogo Ruaraka constituency in Nairobi Sunday, a group of leaders led by National Assembly Minority Leader John Mbadi and Siaya Senator James Orengo observed that the ban, that also brings on board Haco Industries and BrookSide Dairies products, still stands.
The rally also brought the Jubilee government under sharp criticism with present leaders maintaining that it has assumed a despotic rule hence the mistreatment of some opposition leaders.
''Kama serikali haiwezi kuogopa na kutii sheria, sisi kama wananchi hatuna nafasi ya serikali kama hio. Kama polisi hawawezi kutii sheria, tutatoa kiongozi wa polisi,'' Mbadi is quoted by the Standard Digital
(If the government cannot abide by the law then we cannot be part of it. If the police cannot observe the law then we will have to uproot its leadership)
NRM self-proclaimed general Miguna Miguna is among the three opposition leaders who have since been arrested in alliance with the coalitions latest activities, with the others being Ruaraka MP Tom Kajwang and his Makadara counterpart George Aladwa who have however been freed.
