BIDCO Africa Limited management team has threatened to sue parliamentary committee on labor and social services for interfering with a matter concerning the company when it is already in court.

The parliamentary committee on Thursday had a discussion forum at Blue Post Hotel in Thika where BIDCO workers and laborers were invited and questioned on the challenges they face at work.

The workers complained about illegal sacking of people with over 20 years experience, bad working conditions, statutory deductions, lack of remittance to NSSF and NHIF and sexual harassment for female workers.

David Were parliamentary committee chairman said they had planned to give BIDCO a chance to respond to the complaints the workers had made.

“We will not hesitate to take legal action against parliamentary committee on labor and social services for defamation, these are internal issues and they are in court hence they need not to be discussed anywhere else,” said Dipak Shah a BIDCO board member while giving a press briefing on Friday.
