Wiper Party Leader Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka will today lead other politicians of the National Super Alliance (NASA) as the opposition launches the people’s assembly in Machakos.
In a press statement released to the newsrooms by NASA strategist David Ndii, plans to swear in Former Prime Minister, Raila Amolo Odinga are on course.
Ndii also dismissed claims that there are divisions in the opposition after a section of Wiper leaders raised concern over appointments in parliamentary committees.
“Tomorrow, Friday 19th, we proceed to Machakos for the Ukambani People’s Consultative Forum. In the People’s Assembly, we are deliberating on how to remake this nation so that it works for all us,” read part of the Statement.
The opposition also dismissed allegations that it is pushing for power sharing. The leaders have maintained that they want electoral justices to stop in this nation following what transpired in August after the nullification of President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto’s win by the Supreme Court.
“For it to do so, we must agree on how to share power and exercise it responsibly; how to share opportunities equitably and above all how to co-exist peacefully as distinct communities brought together by the cruel fate of colonialism,” added the opposition.
