Today (Thursday) marks a big day for the National Super Alliance (Nasa) members and supporters.

The country is expecting the five principals political coalition to announce its presidential flag-bearer, running-mate, and the entire team that will possible see the coalition form Kenya's fifth government.

Nasa co-principal, Bungoma senator and Ford Kenya party leader Moses Wetangula announced that April 27, 2017 would be the big day for the coalition.

Supporters and Nasa members are meeting at the historic Uhuru Park grounds in Nairobi, despite the chilly weather being experienced in the capital city.

In his early morning post on Facebook, ODM (Nasa member) party Director of Communications confirmed that the rally was still on, and asked supporters to meet at the recreation centre.

Tongaren MP, Ford Kenya's Dr Eseli Simiyu who is also the co-chair of the Nasa committee, also confirmed to the press, Wednesday, that the rally would go on as planned.

Kenyans have been eagerly waiting to know who would be the chosen one in the Nasa team, to battle it out with president Uhuru Kenyatta, who seeks a re-election in the August 8 polls.

Nasa comprises of Raila Odinga (ODM), Kalonzo Musyoka (Wiper), Musalia Mudavadi (ANC), Moses Wetangula (Ford Kenya), and Bomet governor Isaac Ruto (CCM).
