Just 14 days away to the 2018 Kenya Premier league season, local clubs are testing their structures in preseason friendly matches ahead of the new campaign.Champions Gor Mahia over the weekend pitched tent in Nakuru. Gor Mahia played against Nakuru combined on Saturday and managed to pick a 4-0 win from the clash. The goals were scored by Rwandan forward Jacques Tuyisenge who scored a brace while new signing Ephraim Guikan and defender Harun Shavaka scored one each.On Friday Gor Mahia’s managed to beat their hosts Egerton University 6-0 with goals scored by Guikan bagged a brace while Samuel Onyango, Wellington Ochieng, Boniface Omondi and Francis Kahata got one goal each.Gor Mahia will on January 28 play AFC leopards and kick off with Nakumatt FC on February 3 in the league opener.In Nairobi on Saturday, Mathare United thrashed Dandora Hotspurs 6-0 in a preseason friendly played at the Goan Institute Grounds.Ahmad Ahmad and Edward scored a brace each as Johnstone Omurwa and Chrispin Odour scored one each for the win. Mathare will kick off the season against new comers Vihiga United in Mumias Complex.
