State House Spokesman Manoah Esipisu said the three billionaires had confirmed attendance of the summit but did not offer more details.

Former Nigerian president Olusegun Obasanjo and USaid Administrator Gayle Smith are also expected at the five-day 6th African Green Revolution Forum (AGRF) conference to be held at the UN offices in Gigiri and hosted by President Uhuru Kenyatta.

The meeting brings together agriculture players in Africa to discuss how to promote policies and secure investments that will help boost food security in Africa.

"The forum will encourage investment in the agricultural sector to end hunger, improve nutrition, and drive economic opportunities for Africa and her people," said Esipisu.

According to the Standard, the biggest highlight of the event is the inaugural award of the new Africa Food Alliance, that was created to call attention to agriculture innovations that can be replicated.
