Nakuru Member of County Assembly (MCA) Michael Wang’ombe has drafted a Bill that will see pornography sellers jailed for 5 years or fined Sh500, 000. According to Wang’ombe, the Bill seeks to curb pornography materials which have been rampant in the county. Speaking to journalists on Tuesday Wang’ombe said minors in Nakuru are watching pornography materials in video shops around the town. The Bill further allows the county government to issue and revoke licenses of entertainment joints mostly cinema studios. “It is evident that most of teenagers are exposed to pornography, walk to studios and video cinemas and you will get shocked,” said Wang’ombe. The MCA has since urged County Assembly Members to support the Bill and have it signed into law. Wango’mbe said that the only way to deal with porn makers and sellers is through appropriate laws
