Four days after opposition leader Raila Odinga held a mock inauguration at the Uhuru Park where he was sworn in as the people's president, details are emrging on the forces behind these moves.
Sources within the Opposition said the one man that pushed Raila to be sworn in is tycoon Jimmy Wanjigi.
The man is said to have Raila's ears and whatever he proposes becomes.
On Monday, January 29 the shrewd businessman organised a meeting at the DusitD2 hotel at the leafy Riverside estate.
The meeting was meant to finalise preparations to swear in Raila.
Despite other NASA principals being against the swearing in, Jimmy is said to have insisted.
"He told Raila, Mudavadi and Wetangula that hakuna kitu ya kuogopa hapa (there is nothing to fear)," the source said.
Though other strategists within the opposition had other cards, Wanjigi is said to be the man calling the shots.
"He has roped in Raila liutenants like Joho, Orengo and even his family. This way, he shoves his strategies down the throat," he added.
Those who understand Wanjigi's strategy said he told Raila that his millions of supporters would flood Nairobi, in a 'revolutionary' mood and clash with the police.
This would lead to crisis and attract the attention of the world which would force Jubilee to dialogue with Raila.
The police, however, got intelligence reports on the plans on the card and decided to withdraw all police officers at Uhuru Park and let the swearing in continue.
It is also understood that many people within NASA's file and rank feel Wanjigi is using Raila 'to teach Uhuru and Ruto a lesson' after they fell out.
Jimmy has before gone public and announced that Uhuru and Ruto's government in 2013 was formed in his house.
They however later fell out after the government refused his tender deals.
"He has so much influence on Raila because of his deep pockets, he has funded many NASA functions single handendly," an MP claimed.
