Uasin Gishu County chairman of Imams and Muslim preachers Abubakar Bini has condemned the police for raiding mosques in the county.
"As Muslims we are unhappy with the way police officers are raiding mosques and harassing Muslims in the name of looking for terrorists, why are we always discriminated when it comes to looking for terrorists?" he posed.
Speaking in his office on Tuesday, Bini said Muslims are law abiding citizens and should be treated with dignity, and not being arrested anyhow.
"Our mosques are only used for prayers and we have never hidden or trained a terrorist," he said.
"I urge the county commissioner to come to our rescue because we are being tortured, harassed and yet we are not terrorists," he said.
