According to Nakuru County commissioner Mohammed Birik, appropriate security measures have been taken.

Speaking from his office on Wednesday, Birik said that adequate police officers have been deployed to the Nakuru Show ground.

He said a temporary police post has also been set up at the grounds.

“We have employed all security measures as we prepare for the ASK show that starts in two weeks time,” he said.

Birik said that exhibitors have been asked to cooperate with the law enforcers on matters of security.

He added that all people visiting the show ground will be thoroughly frisked.

“We cannot take anything to chance, the security of exhibitors and visitors has been taken care of,” he added.

President Uhuru Kenyatta is expected to open the ASK annual event.

County Governor Kinuthia Mbugua has urged exhibitors to register and showcase their products and services.
