Religious leaders have been urged not to be partisan while discharging their duties. The chairperson of the Kenya Conference of Catholic Bishops Chairman Philip Anyolo said they were called to serve the Lord and not politicians."It is sad that some religious leaders have taken political sides thus hard to condemn injustices in the country. If we take sides where will the common mwananchi run?" he said in Eldoret town after the burial ceremony of Bishop Cornelius Korir."Our country is passing through a hard time because there is no one to pray for the country since we have been compromised," he added. He, however, said that the bishops will organise an all-inclusive national dialogue forum."The national dialogue will focus on difficulties of elections and the reforms of the electoral commission, national healing, and reconciliation. It will bring all Kenyans on board no matter their political or religious affiliation," said Bishop Anyolo. He called upon Kenyans to maintain peace as they await the outcome of the Supreme Court on the presidential repeat elections.
